Ann’s Home Care are recruiting a Area Supervisor to join our busy Home Care Team in Belfast – this role will be based in the community.
The successful candidate would be working as part of a team responsible for the provision of a high quality service to clients in their own homes by monitoring the quality of care. This will require sufficient flexibility to work unsociable hours if required

Ann’s Home Care is a family run home care agency, with 25 years experience in the delivery and management of home care services.
Our Care assistants are at the absolute heart of what we do, delivering front line care to those in need. Working out in the community, our care assistants give care and support to elderly and/or vulnerable people who have difficulties with their daily activities, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
Key Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years in health care
- Educated to NVQ level 3 or willing to work towards it.
- Access to a car and a full driving licence
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadline
- Demonstrate an empathy and understanding towards the needs of clients and their families
- The ability to provide leadership, support and supervision to a team.
Key Tasks and Duties
- By example through own daily work, maintain the highest standards of care, professionalism, and presentation
- To actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to clients to ensure that their physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs are met whilst ensuring dignity, choice, independence, and respect
- To promote best practice and accountability through spot checks and unplanned staff supervisions.
- To monitor the quality of care delivered to clients
- To be responsible for the preparation, implementation, review and update of all client care plans.
- To maintain confidentiality at all times
- To uphold and promote the highest standards of professional practice amongst carers whilst promoting the values of Ann’s Home Care
- To maintain accurate and confidential records in Accordance with company policy.
- To conduct risk assessments in client’s home both on an annual and an as and when required basis.
- Assist in the implementation of new care packages ensuring that care plans are placed within client’s home within two days of acceptance of care package and that all scheduled carers have been introduced and shadowed into the call.
- Assist in the induction of new care workers ensuring all relevant paperwork completed.
- Assist in training programmes.
- Provide accurate and professional verbal and written reports of all complaints, accidents and incidents in clients’ homes

- To assist care managers in rota management providing information and support on start times and best fit for rotas
- Assist in the Company’s Quality Control programme
- To undertake shift cover activities as and when required.
